The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a nationwide recall affecting nearly 2 million window air conditioners units manufactured by Midea, citing a risk of mold growth due to a drainage defect. The issue has been linked to numerous health complaints, prompting a proactive move by both regulators and the manufacturer.
