Expanding the 8K Portfolio with Premium Features

Samsung TV has introduced its latest television lineup for 2025, featuring five new ranges, including two premium 8K models. With screen sizes reaching up to a massive 115 inches, the new offerings prioritize advanced picture quality, AI-driven enhancements, and improved user experiences. The flagship QN990F 8K and the relatively more affordable QN900F 8K headline the collection, while the QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F represent Samsung’s 4K QLED range.

A standout feature of these new models is Samsung’s Vision AI, designed to enhance image processing, provide real-time translations, and introduce motion control via Galaxy Watch integration. The high-end QN990F and QN900F models also incorporate Samsung’s advanced glare-free technology, first introduced in its OLED range.

Despite the ongoing challenges in 8K adoption, including the scarcity of native 8K content and the high price point, Samsung remains the only major manufacturer to announce new 8K models for 2025. The 98-inch QN990F commands an impressive $40,000, making it one of the most expensive consumer Samsung TVs on the market. This model boasts 8K upscaling, Motion Xcelerator 240Hz processing, a Wireless One Connect Box, and Dolby Atmos top speakers. Meanwhile, the QN900F 8K offers a slightly scaled-down experience, featuring a metal frame design, Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, and object-tracking sound.

New 4K QLEDs with AI and Gaming Enhancements

Samsung’s 2025 4K lineup includes three series: QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F, all equipped with Quantum Matrix Mini LED technology for superior brightness and color accuracy. The QN90F, the flagship 4K model, incorporates the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor and a 165Hz Motion Xcelerator, offering smoother motion for gaming and action-packed content.

The QN80F and QN70F are powered by the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor and support Motion Xcelerator 144Hz, promising tear-free gaming and a refined viewing experience. With Samsung continuing to refine its AI-driven processing, these models aim to deliver an optimal balance of performance and affordability for consumers seeking premium 4K entertainment.

Samsung Joins the Big-Screen Race

Just two years ago, Samsung held the record for the largest consumer Samsung TVs at 98 inches, but competitors like Hisense and TCL have since outpaced them in size. In response, Samsung is making a comeback with two massive new additions to its 4K range—a 100-inch QN80F and a 115-inch QN90F, both expected later this year. However, the company has not introduced an 8K model in these expanded sizes, focusing instead on delivering enhanced 4K experiences.

While most of the newly announced models are available now, the QN70F is set to launch later. Here’s a quick look at the pricing:

  • QN990F 8K: Starts at $5,500 (65-inch) and goes up to $40,000 (98-inch).
  • QN900F 8K: Ranges from $3,300 (65-inch) to $5,500 (85-inch).
  • QN90F 4K: Priced between $1,400 (43-inch) and $15,000 (98-inch).
  • QN80F 4K: Available from $1,300 (55-inch) to $3,500 (85-inch).

With this lineup, Samsung TV aims to cater to both high-end enthusiasts and everyday consumers, blending cutting-edge AI, premium display technology, and larger-than-life screen sizes for the future of home entertainment.
