Amazon’s self-driving vehicle subsidiary, Zoox, has officially launched its robotaxi service in Las Vegas, marking a major milestone in the autonomous ride-hailing industry. Passengers can book rides through the Zoox app, available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app provides real-time information, including license plate details, estimated pickup times, and arrival notifications. It also offers a Help button for assistance during the ride.

Waymo, owned by Alphabet (Google’s parent company), continues to operate its autonomous taxi service in cities like San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. It has also begun testing in New York City, albeit with a driver present for safety.

Tesla’s Robotaxi service are currently operational in Austin, while Uber’s collaborations are expanding across multiple metropolitan areas. Waymo’s rides are also bookable via Uber in cities such as Atlanta and Austin, enhancing accessibility to self-driving services.
